At least eight schools in different parts of Delhi-NCR, including several campuses of Delhi Public School, Amity and Mother Mary, received bomb threat emails on Wednesday morning. As a precaution, the schools are being evacuated and the Delhi Police is conducting a thorough search of the premises, officials said.
A bomb detection unit, bomb disposal squad and Delhi Fire Service teams have been dispatched to the schools, where they are conducting search operations.
"Information about a bomb has been received at Delhi Public School, Dwarka. Delhi Police, Bomb Disposal Squad and Fire Tender have reached the spot. Investigation is on," Delhi Police said in a statement.
Officials confirmed that Mayur Vihar's Mother Mary, Amity Saket and Pushpa Vihar, DPS Noida, Vasant Kunj, RK Puram and Sanskarti schools also received similar threats.

According to Delhi Police, a preliminary investigation reveals that emails have been sent to numerous addresses since yesterday, and they appear to be following the same pattern.
The absence of dateline or BCC in the email indicates that it has been sent to multiple recipients. The inquiry is still ongoing," it stated.
Schools are closed as a precautionary measure.
This is to let you know that the school has been made aware of an email posing a threat to kids' safety and security. We are sending the pupils back home right now as a precaution," the principal's office of DPS Noida said in a statement.
“Private passengers, please arrange to collect your child from the school premises at the respective gate as soon as possible. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding,” it added.
A spokesperson said Amity Pushpa Vihar and Saket also received bomb threats and were evacuated as per police instructions. Schools will remain closed today until further notice.
